In memorium

I finally got this machine embroidery piece done for a friend at work. This is Jackson, who passed away last year after an illness. Tracey says this was his most contented expression, squinty eyes and a two-tooth smile. I got a string of "thank you's" and a hand written note from her two girls.

I was going to make a pillow, but she knew the girls would fight over who got to snuggle it, so they decided to frame it and hang it on the wall. Now they're fighting over whose room it will go in. ;)

I used Embird Software's Sfumato plugin to digitize the design, and stitched it out on my Bernina 830LE.

The absolute best reward for doing this came from the younger girl: "It's almost like he's with us again."

Happy Stitching!
Juliette
